Altered is a race, getting your companion and hero tokens together faster than your opponent is the main win condition. The Ordis generate a lot of Token Characters to help you on the way.
The hero of the Ordis starter deck, Sigismar & Wingspan, creates one Ordis Recruit token character in your Hero Expedition every turn at Noon. That often means you have a character in an expedition before your opponent has had the chance to play anything and, better yet, that character didnt cost you anything. A significant number of the other cards in the starter deck also create Ordis Recruits in one or both of your expeditions, giving you an extra advantage over your opponent who only gets to play one character in the same time you might play one and get another token character into your expeditions!
Ordis starter deck is also a good deck to learn how to play permanents efficiently, with both a Token Character creating permanent and a boost-giving permanent being part of the deck. Ordis characters are well balanced, bringing value to at least 2 of the 3 region types with every character in the starter deck, most even bringing value to all 3. Ordis will bring you victory not just by outrunning your opponent, but often overrunning them.
Play your first game and learn the rules with these Altered Starter Decks, containing everything you need to play Altered. Starter Decks are perfect for new players: shuffle your cards and you can play with them right away! They contain 40 cards , a rule leaflet, a foldable playmat with the game zones, the 5 Adventure cards, 2 Reminder cards, 1 Foiler card and some markers as well! Once you feel like you know your deck, customize it with Rare and Unique cards from booster packs! Don’t forget to scan your cards: adding your cards to your digital collection is needed to unlock all of the digital features Altered has to offer.
